DO IT NOW!...find your FIERCE!

Gosh, i swear this women spoke to me. So earlier today/yesterday as I was perusing through youtube, I found this girl ( Shira..SugarFree TV )<--Google IT!( she's absolutely FAB!).So I found her by accident( searching for something else but got distracted by a title...psh typical lol) and of course the title of the video "fashionista series" caught my attention..and the more I listened the more I was like "wow..this is a unique character"..so me being noisy & bored, I listened to the other things she had to talk about ( hair, fashion and philosophy etc) and man..am I inspired! =).So of course I subscribed! & I just had to share this link with u guys because this is some true stuff, especially for anybody whose ever been through some kind of diversity ( which would be everybody..i mean c'mon were human!..lets get real people). Now I know it may sound cliche when people always say "live your best life now" or "tomorrow's not promised..so live in the moment"..you know what I'm talking about. Well that is definetly easier said than done, but as the years start rolling on by and time takes its course, you really have to take into consideration what exactly YOU want out of YOUR life.Yes it is a process, but its definetly attainable ( from what i've seen).I myself, being a teenager/young adult, am still crossing the road between caring about society thinks and what I want to do,(i'd be a hypocrit not to admit that).Although I've heard this speech numerous times within my eighteen years, somehow seeing this was like a lightbulb moment( ding!).Do what you want and do it now! I think i'll elaborate on this "FIND YOUR FIERCE" thing in further posts..because it sounds kinda catchy :)

p.s sorry if the video is lopsided..but just listen to the message please & thanx :)

New Soul

So...Im kinda new to all this blogging stuff, but thought I'd give it a try since I've always had a lot on my mind ( and theres only so much you can put on a facebook status without people mentally clicking the "nobody cares button" lol). Allow me to re-introduce myself, my name is Melanie and creartive is my middle name , but art is the least of my many interests ( however it is the most prominent though lol). Just graduated from high school and just turned the lovely 18( oh how sweet it is ) and with that came many epiphanies, one of them being that its okay to have a "I dont give a ( fill in the blank ) mentality, sometimes. Like radio Raheim's rings say..love it or hate it, you are who you are. Editing yourself for the benefit of others isnt going to change the big picture ( that I had to learn the hard way of course), but whatelse is new in life, the best way to learn is the hard-way, so i've learned in my few years 18 yrs on this earth. So back to reality, i'd like to consider myself a "new soul in this very strange world.." ( New Soul by Yael Naim) still got alot to learn, but dont we all? :)
